Lipton tea is for the birds. You can't and never will compare with Nestea until
you put some tea flavoring in your brew. It is awful cold with ice and who needs to put 3 or 4 tablespoons in some water???

you must be the last place that has the folgers pods because they quit making them earlier this year.

they are now making kcups only, so far the only kind available is the lively columbian gourmet selections.

you cannot get the classic roast in a single cup except for there tea bag version which is crap IMHO....

I suppose you believe gasoline prices went to nearly $4.00 a while back because of short supply. Too funny, you crack me up. Pam and Karen, you are dead on about this.

Blah, blah, blah. So coffee prices are going up. The ~$0.49/cup price for K-cups is mostly the cost of convenience. It most certainly is not the cost of coffee. Keep it up and we will all be gone. I'm going back to the pot or finding another supplier who has not taken an opportunistic jump in price. Bye!

I was addressing the coffee issue more than the overall cost of everything. Perhaps the value of the dollar having dropped is responsible for the increased costs of everything. I'm not so sure about that... But, like the price of gasoline being very low right now due to less people driving to jobs they no longer have, you can count on the price going up as more people need the limited amount of gasoline once the economy improves. However, I still don't call that "greed".
The increase in prices for coffee will possibly convince a farmer to plant more coffee next year, instead of corn or some other crop. If many farmers do this, then the supply of coffee may actually exceed the demand, causing prices to drop below present prices. Freedom and capitalism at work! At least in theory...

Sorry, Hamilton...Simple Economics 101 does support your view in theory. But you can't tell me that, suddenly, every product in the world is in short supply and prices on EVERYTHING have to skyrocket. How does a lower supply of coffee beans translate to a threefold increase in my monthly Walmart bill when I'm buying the same products I always buy?

I'm not sure what planet the two girls below live on, but typically, in the real world, if the supply goes down then the price goes up. If I want some of the limited supply of coffee more than you do, then that means I'm willing to pay more. Those that feel the price has gone too high will stop buying it or switch to something else. That's the way it works. If the growers just kept the price the same regardless of supply, then the result is it isn't available at all once it is all sold. Kinda like the old Soviet Union with their empty shelves in the stores. It isn't greed.

Oddly enough, Green Mountain is the only company 'announcing' the increase so far due to 'the poor harvest'. Just because I can afford to drink K-cups doesn't mean I will continue to buy them. They have swallowed huge competitive markets. When a company buys their competitors, they control everything...especially pricing! I'm sick of this crazy extravagence of K-cups that are filling our landfills. Just think how many of the trashed k-cups are used on a daily basis! It's astronomical (and so are their profits). I for one, have had about enough. I will continue to buy coffee, but no longer in the k-cup version. Yes, GREED is at the heart of it, and I'm now longer being held captive!

Do they really think people are that stupid? The only reason there is a rise in coffee (as well as every other product on the market) prices are because of GREED. When I go to the grocery store, gas station, drug store, movies, or any other place on the planet, prices have skyrocketed, and you can't tell us it's all because of the increase in the price of coffee beans! Where is it going to stop? How much more can we give up because we can no longer afford to buy our basic life-sustaining goods and products? Everywhere we turn, we are being gouged, and I'm sick of it! So now our coffee distributors are jumping on the bandwagon too. Well, have at it! Enjoy it while it lasts...why do you think businesses are closing up everyday? It's because people like myself are sick of being taken advantage of, we say enough is enough, and we stop buying their products.

Loving the pineapple flavor! The electrolytes really keep me going after a long workout, whether I'm swimming or on a hike. I've found it really hard to drink other sports drinks these days - I'm sticking to Vita Coco.

I replaced my morning cup of coffee with Vita Coco and have never felt better. I'm more energized, alert, and feel hydrated throughout the day. Vita Coco is incredible, you need to try it if you havent yet!!

I've tried flavors I haven't liked hot... and found out that i like them over ice!! And flavors I wasn't sure i WOULD like iced, I do! (I've tried the more wintery ones like Winter Carnival, sugar Maple, pumpki and they are GREAT!) Experiment ... it's fun ... and tasty!!

I have a cupboard full of davinci, torani and monin sugar free syrups ... they are WONDERFUL! I use them in my hot ad cold coffee drinks,with club soda (and some ice cream) for sodas ... added them to hot chocolate .... i've used them in baking - adding them to brownie mixes, oatmeal, baked oatmeal, sweet potato casseroles( the caramel and dulce de leche ones are WONDERFUL in that casserole!)

I like the Keurig for group settings because everyone can have what they want - decaf, reg, flavored reg, flavored decaf, tea, decaf tea, or cocoa from one machine with out much waiting.

We do this with ground coffee and the coffee in the K-Cups - if you are careful, you will not damage the filter after removing foil and grounds. We then take scissors and cut off the bottom of the cup - bow we have a little seed starter cup - the roots will easily push through the paper filter and water drains and enters easily too.
